New study aims to end ankle surgery comeback guesswork

NCT ID NCT06395714

First seen Apr 15, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a special test (ANKLE-GO) done 3 months after ankle ligament surgery can predict if athletes will return to their sport safely. About 116 people who had surgery for chronic ankle instability will take the test and be followed for a year. The goal is to find a reliable way to reduce the risk of re-injury and help patients get back to their sport with confidence.
