Cartoon therapy cuts pain in young heart patients

NCT ID NCT07319260

First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study tested whether a nurse-led cartoon-watching program could ease pain in children aged 3 to 7 after congenital heart surgery. 70 children took part, with half receiving standard pain care and the other half also watching animated films with nurse interaction. The goal was to see if this fun, non-drug approach could lower pain scores and improve satisfaction.
