Do common anesthesia gases harm your cells? new study investigates

NCT ID NCT07152912

Summary

This study aims to understand how two commonly used anesthesia gases, isoflurane and sevoflurane, affect oxidative stress and inflammation in the body during surgery. Researchers will compare these effects in 80 adults undergoing elective gallbladder removal surgery. The goal is to gather knowledge about potential differences between the two gases, not to provide a new treatment.
