Heart injury after surgery: new study seeks answers

Summary
This study looks at why some people have heart damage after non-cardiac surgery. It will follow 3000 adults aged 40-80 with heart risks to see how anesthesia and surgery factors play a role. The goal is to find ways to better monitor and protect patients in the future.
