Summary
This study tested whether a specific nerve-block anesthesia technique (called PECS) given during breast removal surgery could reduce chronic pain six months later. It involved 194 women who had mastectomies, some with lymph node removal or breast reconstruction. Researchers tracked pain levels, side effects, and quality of life to see if this approach helped prevent long-term discomfort.
