Calming the chaos: finding the best drug to soothe kids waking from surgery

Summary
This study aims to find which of two common drugs works better to prevent or reduce agitation when children wake up from tonsil surgery. It will involve 82 children, aged 4 to 7, who are having a planned tonsillectomy. Researchers will compare the effects of an intravenous drug called propofol against another called lidocaine to see which one leads to a calmer, safer recovery.
