Could low iron slow a Child's recovery from a diabetes emergency?

NCT ID NCT07377604

Summary

This study looks back at medical records to see if children with anemia (low red blood cells) take longer to recover from a serious diabetes complication called diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA). Researchers will compare the recovery time and hospital stay length for about 150 children with and without anemia. The goal is to understand if anemia is linked to worse outcomes during a DKA episode.
