Can adding a simple squeeze to electrical stimulation better control leakage?

NCT ID NCT07604415

First seen May 24, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026

Summary

This study looks at two home-based treatments for fecal incontinence (accidental bowel leakage). One group uses electrical stimulation alone; the other adds active squeezing of the anal muscles during stimulation. The goal is to see which approach better reduces leakage and improves quality of life over 12 weeks. About 24 adults with moderate-to-severe symptoms will participate.
