New surgery approach aims to heal painful anal fissures

Summary

This study tests a combined surgical method to improve healing and reduce pain in people with chronic anal fissure. About 122 adults with anal sphincter spasm will receive the surgery. Researchers will measure pain, wound healing, and sphincter function after the procedure.
