Generic vs. Brand-Name cancer drug put to the test
NCT ID NCT06326697
Summary
This study tested whether a new generic version of the drug azacitidine works the same way in the body as the existing brand-name version (Onureg®). Both drugs are used as ongoing maintenance therapy for adults with a type of blood cancer called acute myeloid leukemia (AML) who are in remission. The main goal was to compare how much of each drug gets into the bloodstream to see if they are equivalent.
