Stem cells aim to slow kidney failure in diabetes

Summary
This study tests if a single treatment with umbilical cord stem cells (Amimestrocel) can improve kidney function or reduce protein in the urine of people with diabetic kidney disease. The trial will enroll 120 adults with type 2 diabetes and advanced kidney damage. Researchers will measure changes in kidney function and protein levels over time to see if the treatment is safe and effective.
