New weight drug tested: how it slows your digestion

NCT ID NCT07429032

Summary

This early-stage study tested whether an experimental drug called AMG 133 affects how quickly the stomach empties in people who are overweight or have obesity. Researchers gave 57 participants either the drug or a placebo and measured how their bodies processed acetaminophen (Tylenol) to track stomach emptying. They also monitored side effects, appetite changes, and how much food people ate during a test meal.
