New hope for aggressive breast cancer: hormone combo may rival chemo

Summary
This phase 3 study tests whether a hormone therapy plus abemaciclib works as well as chemotherapy for women with ER+/HER2- breast cancer that has spread to organs like the liver or lungs. About 180 participants will receive either standard chemo or the hormone combo. The goal is to see which treatment delays cancer growth better while maintaining quality of life.
