First seen Nov 18, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study looked at how a person's genes (APOE type) and compounds from plants affect gut bacteria. 49 healthy adults donated saliva and stool samples. Researchers analyzed the bacteria's response to plant extracts in a lab model. The goal was to understand links between diet, genes, and Alzheimer's risk, not to test a treatment.
