First seen Apr 30, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study looks at how foods made with alternative proteins like insects, microalgae, hemp, and legumes affect hunger, fullness, and metabolism. About 40 healthy or overweight adults will eat special breads and follow Mediterranean-style diets. Researchers will measure appetite, blood sugar, cholesterol, and gut symptoms to see if these proteins are a healthy and acceptable option.
