First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study tests whether adding alogliptin to two common diabetes drugs (pioglitazone and metformin) works better than the two-drug combination alone for people with type 2 diabetes who also have fatty liver disease. The goal is to improve blood sugar control, fat levels, and pancreas function. The trial will enroll 80 adults who have not used diabetes medications in the past six months.
