First seen Apr 17, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study tests whether a gel made from aloe vera and peppermint can prevent bedsores (pressure injuries) in intensive care patients. About 40 adults in the ICU who are at risk for bedsores will be randomly assigned to receive either the natural gel or standard nursing care. Researchers will track how many patients develop new bedsores during their hospital stay.
