Kidney function may change how COVID drug works
NCT ID NCT06698549
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study looked at how the experimental COVID-19 drug ALG-097558 is processed by the body in people with severe kidney problems compared to healthy volunteers. Twelve adults took the drug twice daily for several days. The goal was to measure drug levels in blood and urine, not to treat the disease. This helps doctors understand if kidney function affects dosing.
