Scientists track young Drinkers' impulses and alcohol reactions for 2 years

NCT ID NCT05929677

Summary

This study aims to understand how two key factors—impulsivity and how alcohol makes people feel—contribute to risky drinking in young adults. Researchers will follow 250 young adults (ages 21-25) for two years, using lab sessions with controlled alcohol administration and daily smartphone surveys to track their experiences. The goal is to identify new targets for future prevention and treatment programs.
