NCT ID NCT07150156
First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 29 times
Summary
This study tests whether an app-based program can work as well as face-to-face counseling to help people drink less. About 1,200 adults in Mexico and South Africa who screen positive for risky drinking will be randomly assigned to either use the app or meet with a health educator. Researchers will compare changes in drinking habits over 6 months to see if the app is a good alternative.
