Summary
This study looked at whether using a screw to fix the bone after Akin osteotomy (a type of bunion surgery) leads to better toe joint movement compared to leaving it without a screw. 54 adults having bunion surgery took part. The main goal was to measure how much the big toe joint could move one year after surgery.
