NCT ID NCT05988658

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 34 times

Summary

This study is testing whether adding blood and urine tests (biomarkers) to a computer risk score can better predict which hospitalized patients will develop severe acute kidney injury (AKI). About 800 adults at high risk will be enrolled at two hospitals. Researchers will collect samples over three days to see if the combination improves early detection of stage 2 or 3 AKI.
