Kidney trouble may complicate breathing tube removal
NCT ID NCT07477652
First seen Mar 21, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study will observe 85 critically ill adults in the ICU to see if acute kidney injury (AKI) makes it harder to successfully remove a breathing tube. Researchers will track how often weaning succeeds, how long it takes, and any complications. The goal is to understand if AKI is a key factor in difficult or failed breathing tube removal.
