First seen Nov 20, 2025 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This early-phase study tests whether airway basal stem cells can safely help children with bronchiolitis obliterans, a chronic lung disease that narrows the airways. The trial will enroll 12 children aged 28 days to 18 years who have severe breathing problems. Researchers will monitor changes in symptoms like cough and wheezing, as well as oxygen needs, to see if the treatment improves lung function.
