Can a simple air alert help kids breathe easier?

Summary
This study is testing whether adding daily air quality information to a child's asthma action plan helps them control their asthma better over time. Researchers will enroll 351 children with asthma, aged 8 to 17, who live in Allegheny County, PA. Participants will receive standard asthma education and be randomly assigned to also get air quality alerts from either the EPA or a commercial source, or to a control group that does not get the alerts, to see which approach works best.
