First seen Jan 20, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study tests whether using high-efficiency air purifiers at home can improve breathing, quality of life, and overall health in people with interstitial lung disease (ILD). One hundred participants will use the purifiers for a period and then switch to no purifier, allowing researchers to compare the effects. The goal is to see if cleaner indoor air can reduce respiratory symptoms and inflammation.
