Dirty air may harm pregnancies in women with rare Heart-Lung condition
NCT ID NCT07164157
Summary
This study looked at whether long-term exposure to air pollution makes pregnancy more dangerous for women who have pulmonary hypertension, a serious condition affecting blood pressure in the lungs. Researchers analyzed medical records from 1,200 pregnant women with this condition to see if where they lived and the local air quality were linked to serious problems like heart failure or death. The goal was to gather information to help doctors better care for these high-risk patients in areas with poor air quality.
