Your personal air quality report: a key to cleaner living?
NCT ID NCT05160948
First seen Jul 31, 2026 · Last updated Jul 31, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether receiving personal air pollution monitoring results can change how families understand air quality and their attitudes toward science and research. Participants—children and their caregivers who previously took part in the EcoMAPPE study—will answer questionnaires before and after getting their individual monitoring results. The goal is to see if personalized feedback helps people become more aware of their exposure and potentially make changes to reduce health risks.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only, not medical advice or a prediction.
- Active substance
- Personal air pollution monitoring results report-back
- What this could lead to
- If sharing personal air pollution readings boosts awareness and encourages cleaner habits, it could point toward a simple way to help families reduce their exposure and health risks.
- What could go wrong
- This is a small, early study focused on knowledge and attitudes, not health outcomes. Results may not reflect real-world behavior change or apply to broader populations.
