First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study compares an artificial intelligence (AI) program to doctors in reading X-rays of broken bones. About 500 patients with suspected fractures had their X-rays reviewed by both the AI and human doctors. The goal is to see if the AI can accurately spot injuries, which could help speed up and improve diagnosis in busy emergency rooms.
