Summary
This study tested whether an automated AI phone call system could effectively collect information from patients about their recovery after shoulder surgery. Researchers wanted to see if sending a text message reminder first made people more likely to answer the call. They also checked how accurately the AI system recorded patient responses compared to a human reviewer.
