Can smarter AI stop antibiotic overuse? doctors test 32 different designs

NCT ID NCT07401979

Summary

This study aims to understand how the design of AI decision-support tools influences how doctors use them. 3000 primary care physicians in China will test different versions of an AI tool while reviewing simulated patient cases for respiratory infections. Researchers will measure if certain AI features help doctors make more accurate diagnoses and prescribe antibiotics more appropriately.
