Can a computer make your doctor smarter? AI trial aims to reduce diagnostic errors

NCT ID NCT07406919

Summary

This study is testing whether an artificial intelligence (AI) assistant can help doctors make more accurate diagnoses during video consultations. In El Salvador, 180 primary care physicians will be randomly assigned to either use the AI tool or not during their routine telemedicine appointments. Researchers will compare the accuracy of diagnoses between the two groups to see if the AI improves decision-making.
