AI vs. human experts: can a computer accurately assess speech problems after stroke?

NCT ID NCT07347782

Summary

This study aims to test whether an artificial intelligence (AI) program can accurately assess speech clarity in patients with speech disorders, such as those occurring after a stroke or other neurological conditions. Researchers will compare the AI's assessments with those made by certified speech-language pathologists to see if the AI is reliable and effective. The study will enroll 40 adult patients who have speech disorders alongside conditions like stroke, ALS, or cerebellar disorders.
