First seen Dec 08, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study looked at whether a generative AI simulation can improve how medical students communicate a type 2 diabetes diagnosis. 120 students were split into two groups: one used the AI platform DIALOGUE-DM2, and the other followed traditional teaching. Their communication skills were measured before and after training using standardized patient scenarios. The goal is to see if AI can help future doctors deliver difficult news more effectively.
