AI camera could spot risky surgeries before they start
NCT ID NCT06839261
Summary
This study tested whether artificial intelligence (AI) could predict how difficult it would be to place a special breathing tube in patients having chest surgery. Researchers took photos of 260 patients' head and neck areas before surgery and fed them into an AI program. The goal was to see if the AI could accurately warn doctors about potential intubation difficulties, helping them prepare better and improve patient safety.
