AI tool could spare colon cancer patients unnecessary chemotherapy

NCT ID NCT07226115

Summary

This study aims to develop a computer model that predicts which colon cancer patients will benefit from chemotherapy after surgery. Researchers will analyze tumor samples from 200 patients who already received standard treatment to identify patterns linked to treatment success. The goal is to create a test that helps doctors personalize chemotherapy decisions, avoiding unnecessary treatment for some patients while ensuring others get the care they need.
