AI-Assisted jawbone widening shows promise for dental implants

NCT ID NCT06887595

First seen Dec 03, 2025

Summary

This study tested two ways to widen a narrow lower jawbone so dental implants can be placed. One method used AI and computer guidance to make tiny holes in the bone, while the other did the same procedure by hand. The goal was to see which approach is safer and more effective. Twenty-two people with thin jawbones took part, and the results will help dentists choose the best technique.
