AI vs. doctors: the race to spot lung cancer earlier

Summary
This study is testing whether artificial intelligence (AI) software can help doctors read low-dose CT scans more accurately during lung cancer screening. About 1,120 adults at risk for lung cancer will be randomly assigned to have their scans read either with AI assistance or by doctors using standard methods. The goal is to see if AI helps find cancers earlier, reduces false alarms, and improves patient outcomes like survival rates.
