First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study looks at whether an AI program called qXR can help doctors find lung cancer sooner by flagging suspicious chest X-rays for faster review. About 60,000 adults in Scotland are taking part. The goal is to see if AI can cut down the time it takes to decide whether a patient needs a follow-up CT scan, which could lead to earlier treatment and better survival.
