First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 35 times

Summary

This study tests whether an AI software platform can help family doctors and nurse practitioners better detect structural heart disease from electrocardiograms (ECGs). About 2,000 patients and their primary care providers will take part, with clinics gradually switching on the AI tool to compare referral accuracy. The goal is to see if AI assistance improves the rate at which patients who need heart specialist care are correctly identified.
