AI and CT scans may catch hidden heart condition early in AF patients

NCT ID NCT07567508

First seen May 07, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study tests a new way to find cardiac amyloidosis—a serious heart condition—early in 500 adults with atrial fibrillation and warning signs. Half will get AI-ECG and CT scans plus usual care, while the other half gets usual care only. Researchers will compare how many cases are found over 2 years to see if the screening works better.
