First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 34 times

Summary

This study tests whether an AI-powered app can help doctors more accurately diagnose ear infections in children aged 6-24 months with cold symptoms. About 300 children will have their eardrums photographed, and the AI will review the images to see if it changes how doctors diagnose and prescribe antibiotics. The goal is to reduce unnecessary antibiotic use by improving diagnostic accuracy.
