Summary
This study aims to develop and validate an artificial intelligence system that uses color analysis of digital dental scans to objectively diagnose gum redness (erythema) around dental implants. Currently, diagnosing this sign of inflammation is subjective and varies between dentists. The research will involve 200 adults with dental implants and will test whether the AI tool improves diagnostic accuracy and consistency among clinicians.
