First seen Jan 20, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study aims to create an artificial intelligence system that can objectively measure redness in the gums around dental implants, a key sign of inflammation. Currently, diagnosing this redness is subjective and varies between dentists. The research will involve 200 adults with dental implants, using digital scans to train the AI and then testing if it helps clinicians diagnose more accurately and consistently.
