AI assistant aims to make colonoscopy smarter, reduce unnecessary procedures
NCT ID NCT07389759
Summary
This study is testing whether a computer-aided diagnosis (CADx) system can help doctors more accurately identify tiny colon polyps during a colonoscopy. The goal is to see if this AI assistance allows doctors to confidently leave harmless polyps in place or discard removed ones without lab testing, following specific medical guidelines. The research involves 363 endoscopists who will use the tool in different ways to see if it improves their diagnostic performance.
