First seen Nov 21, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study tested a new method that uses artificial intelligence to combine signals from a pulse oximeter and ECG to measure blood pressure continuously without needles. 30 adults having surgery were monitored with both this new method and the standard invasive arterial line. The goal was to see if the AI method could match the accuracy of the invasive method, which could reduce risks like bleeding and infection.
