AI boosts prostate cancer detection in men with unclear MRI scans

NCT ID NCT07231627

First seen Nov 17, 2025 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study tests whether an artificial intelligence (AI) algorithm can help doctors find more aggressive prostate cancers during biopsies. About 50 men with uncertain or low-risk MRI results will be randomly assigned to either an AI-guided biopsy or a standard biopsy. The goal is to see if the AI approach increases the detection of clinically significant prostate cancer while reducing unnecessary biopsies.
