First seen Mar 29, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study tests whether a daily supplement called AHCC, made from a type of mushroom, can help prevent respiratory infections like colds in children aged 2 to 4. About 60 children in daycare will receive either AHCC or a placebo for 3 months. Researchers will track how many fevers occur and measure immune markers in the blood.
