Mushroom extract tested to ease chemo side effects
NCT ID NCT05763199
Summary
This small, early-stage study is testing whether a daily mushroom extract called AHCC can help improve quality of life for women with ovarian, fallopian tube, or peritoneal cancer who are receiving standard chemotherapy. Twenty participants will be randomly assigned to take either the AHCC supplement or a placebo pill during their treatment. The main goal is to see if it's practical to run a larger study on this topic by checking if people can stick with the supplement schedule and complete quality-of-life surveys.
