First seen Jan 19, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study looked at whether giving radiation therapy after surgery helps prevent cancer from returning in people with early-stage oral cancer. It included 392 patients whose tumors were at least 5mm thick. Half received radiation after surgery, and half were simply watched. The goal was to see if radiation improves the chance of staying cancer-free.
